Chris and Monika's love story didn't start off as a love story at all. It was actually the untimely passing of Monika's cousin and Chris's best friend, A.J., that brought them together.
Chris along with his mom, aunts and the rest of the Ruiz family were a huge support to A.J.'s mom and the rest of Monika's family . They grieved together and grew together, and after discovering a mutual love of football (RAIDERS!), roller coasters and the Lion King, the rest is history!
4-1/2 years worth of memories later and we’ve survived family trips to Disneyland and Universal Studios, successfully assembled IKEA furniture (without killing each other) and became the proud parents of an awesome little boy, CJ. In February of 2018, Chris finally popped the question and Monika said yes. They can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
